The Children’s Cancer Hospital Foundation 57357 (CCHF) is starting the new branch in Tanta to cater to the whole of the Delta Region. Al Helal El Ahmar Hospital in Tanta was chosen to be the location for the new branch. With the capacity of 50 beds, CCHF in Tanta is designed to be fully independent of Al Helal El Ahmar Hospital and includes an identical system as CCHF in Cairo.

The Hospital includes an operation department, sterilization, morgue, intensive care, day care unit, clinical pharmacy, kitchen and laundry.

The project comprises of ground, 4 typical floors and roof with a built-up area of 4000m2. Designed took into consideration a complete face lift for the hospital's elevations to be in line with the CCHF Cairo Design as much as possible and they are already in possession of the architectural drawing for the project. The team of healthcare workers for the new branch will be recruited locally from Tanta after going through an extensive training period at 57357.

The Children's Cancer Hospital Egypt awarded ECG the engineering consultancy services and OCI the contracting Works for its new branch in Tanta, Egypt. For this purpose, Tanta's presently existing Al Helal Al Ahmar Hospital's ground (500 sq. m), second (500 sq. m), and forth (2,000 sq. m) floors will be refurbished. Moreover, the first floor of a building premised in front of the El Helal Al Ahmar Hospital will be renovated into an outpatient clinic. ECG scope of work includes data collection and analysis, development of the concept and preliminary designs, preparation of detailed designs and tender documents, tender action, and construction supervision.
